I emerged from the cold, watery depths. I would imagine the under halls were quite cold, but games aren't quite up to the level of forcibly freezing users asses off yet. Up the stairs from my watery almost-grave, I found myself within a new hall. Connected to several areas of the damned castle, my new goal seemed to involve making an elevator run. It wasn't an elevator that would take me to freedom of course. Instead, it was one that would take me down and even further into the bowels of this tomb. Fucking awesome eh?
The castle was coming apart. I knew that Alexander and Daniel were making plans to reinforce the weaker sections against the oncoming darkness. It seems they were met with limited success, as I've counted numerous areas that had collapsed. I've left the deadly shadow and its bloody growth behind in the sewers for now, but who knows how long that will last?
The first order of business was to figure out how to fix the elevator (nothing can ever be simple). I explored the study and personal quarters to find out more. Yet as I did, I found I wasn't alone.
Poor gamma quality but it's a dark game anyways
Something was following me. I only glimpsed it for a moment, so couldn't get a good look. Hiding in the closet seemed the best option, and eventually I heard the sound of it leaving the area. When I emerged from my hidey-hole, I found a fresh torso on the ground.
My new friend wasn't very kind.
As I explored, I learned that the strange orb Daniel brought back from Africa seemed to be haunted. He visited two professors to inquire as to its origins, and both wound up dead the next day. Naturally, he sent numerous letters out trying desperately to find some information when he was sent a reply by none other than Alexander.
